Frequently Asked Questions
How do I play Passwords?
Split into two teams, pick a category, and start the round. One player describes the word on the screen without saying it, while their team guesses. Swipe to mark a word as correct or to skip it, and the team with the most correct words wins. Everything is explained in the app before your first round.
How many players do I need?
Passwords is made for groups. You need at least two players, and it works best with four or more so you can form teams. Only one device is needed — you pass it around the group.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account is required. You can play offline; an internet connection is only needed to make or restore purchases.
I bought something but didn't get it — how do I restore my purchase?
Open the app, go to the store or settings screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used for the original purchase. If it still doesn't appear, email us and include the receipt from Apple so we can look into it.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. On your device open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select Passwords and choose to change or cancel it. See Apple's guide: How to cancel a subscription from Apple.
How do I request a refund?
All payments are processed by Apple, so refunds must be requested through them at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app didn't work as promised, please contact us too — we want to know about it.
The app crashes or a word is wrong. What should I do?
Please email us with a description of what you were doing when it happened, plus your device and app version. If you spotted a misspelled or unfair word in a category, tell us which category and word and we'll fix it in the next update.
Can I suggest a new category or word?
Yes, please do. Send your ideas to business@m4ntech.se — a lot of our content comes from player suggestions.
How do I delete my data?
Game settings, team names and progress are stored only on your device, so deleting the app removes them. Purchase records are held by Apple and RevenueCat as described in our Privacy Policy. If you want us to delete any information we hold about you, email us and we'll take care of it.
Is Passwords suitable for children?
Passwords is made for a general audience and follows its App Store age rating. Some categories are aimed at adults, so pick the categories that fit your group.
